a is a friendly sort of place. It’s a town where people wave at complete strangers on the street and say “Hello.” (Not that you’ll be a stranger for very long in Eureka.) Most of the buildings that line Main Street date to from the turn of the 20th Century. However, the majority of the original merchants who set up shop there have long since given way to art galleries, gift shops, cafés, movie theatres, and restaurants. The amiable shopkeepers here take great pride in the beautification of their stores, and of the downtown shopping district in general.
